Durante un invierno que alcanza el récord de frío, un apagón de proporciones apocalípticas deja atrapados a un grupo de habitantes de Brooklyn en una apartada casa de campo. Al principio, todo es una fiesta: drogas, sexo y yoga. Pero, a medida que pasan los días y disminuye el suministro de comida, se vuelven unos contra otros y se ven obligados a enfrentarse a su propia mortalidad.

Benjamin Dickinson
Llegó a Nueva York en 1999 para estudiar cine en la Universidad NYU. En 2004 se mudó a Brooklyn y, junto a seis amigos de la escuela, fundó Waverly Films. Desde entonces ha dirigido videoclips para Q-Tip, The Rapture, LCD Soundsystem, The Juan MacLean, !!!, Chiddy Bang y Reggie Watts, y ha realizado anuncios para Absolut, VH1, MTV, Google, BMW y Guitar Hero. First Winter es su primer largometraje.

During a winter of record-breaking cold, a blackout of apocalyptic proportions strands a group of Brooklynites in a remote country farmhouse. At first, it’s a party: drugs, sex, and yoga. But as the days go on and the food supply dwindles, they turn against one another, and gradually are forced into a confrontation with their mortality.

Benjamin Dickinson
Dickinson came to New York in 1999 to study film at NYU. In 2004, he moved to Brooklyn & started Waverly Films with 6 friends from school. He has since directed music videos for Q-Tip, The Rapture, LCD Soundsystem, the Juan Maclean, !!!, Chiddy Bang, and Reggie Watts, and has directed commercial work for Absolut, VH1, MTV, Google, BMW, & Guitar Hero. His work has been featured in the Fader Magazine, Boards, Promo,Creativity, and at the Cannes Film Festival.
